What is Credit?
Credit is your account showing how many accumulated Gilt merchandise and promotional credits you’ve acquired. Merchandise credit is applied when you opt to return an item for merchandise credit instead of your original form of payment. Gilt gift cards also show up as merchandise credit in your account. Merchandise credits do not expire unless required by state law after a specified period of time. Promotional credits include short-term promotional credits or marketing credits that are applied when you take advantage of a promotion. Promotional credits are subject to expiration up to 18 months from issuance. See additional information on Promotional Credits here.
How Do I Use it?
Any available credits on your Gilt account will automatically apply to your next purchase from Gilt or Gilt City. If the total cost of your purchase exceeds the amount of Gilt credit on your account, you will be required to pay the balance with the credit card, or other payment method, on file. If your purchase costs less than the amount of Gilt credits on your account, any unspent credits will remain in your account.
Please note that a credit card or other payment method must be supplied for each order transaction. Nothing will be charged to your payment methods on file unless the cost of the order exceeds the available credits.
Unfortunately, credits cannot be used for travel purchases, gift cards or Gilt City offers purchased through a third party. Gilt credit cannot be retroactively applied to an order at this time.
