Gilt accepts credit card payments through a secure online server to ensure that your information is safe.
Order Taxes and Fees
Gilt collects sales taxes and other fees in accordance with applicable law based on the address to which orders are shipped. The amount of sales tax charged is based on current tax rates in effect in that location at the time of sale, and are subject to change at any time. In some states, shipping charges are also subject to tax. Any taxes will be indicated on the checkout page. Gift card purchases are not taxable; however, items purchased with gift cards may be subject to sales tax. For questions about your state, consult your local tax laws.
Pending Charges
In some cases, an order may not process successfully because your billing address on file doesn’t match the billing address for your credit card. If this ever happens, you’ll see an authorization hold (like a pending charge) on your card. Not to worry, this amount will not be deducted from your account, and it will drop off your account within three to five business days. We’ll only charge you when an order is on its way to you.
To successfully order the item, you will need to go back to the site and resubmit your order.
